Need Advice!

So I dont know how many of you out there are actually following me or reading my journals but I need an upgrade of a point and shoot camera I have. There's nothing wrong with it but for me I just want something a little better, and I thought what a perfect place to ask at Deviant! So if any of you have any small good camera's out there that are affordable and take really good quality photos please let me know! Thanks!

Still Life

It's a rainy day outside, bleh, but on the other hand it gives me a chance to work on my still life photography. Anyone whose been watching me would probably notice that my strongest point is nature, which don't get me wrong I love nature, but I also want to work on other things, for example people who do still life photography I admire a lot, because really it's not as easy as it looks. I mean you have to have the right back ground or make one, have the right set up basically and set the right mood, if anyone has noticed I have set up a few pieces of still life work in my gallery and wouldn't mind some comments. As I said though I'm just learning, and really I wouldn't mind taking some classes or someone giving me some advice on it. Still I enjoy the work a lot and I hope to be putting up more soon.

Changing Locations

Heh no I'm not moving anywhere, but I have felt that a change of scenery does seem to help the creative block of things, which is not a bad thing but it's interesting to me. I went to go visit where I grew up for a couple of days and I always love going back there just for the fact that it's a great place to take photo's and the memories I have there. So I think slowly my creativeness will start coming back, least I hope so.

Creative Block

So was wondering if any of you guys have had a creative block, rather it be with writing or with photography and if you have what do you do to get the mojo back or do you just try something new or wait for the mojo to come back on it's own? Any tips Im open to, just recently I havent had the gumption to pick up the camera and be creative, usally it happens with no problem but then sometimes I get stuck for ideas. So like I said if anyone out there has any tips to get the creativity back or should one just let it happen naturally?
